The Balkan Black Terracotta Pot is handmade in India using traditional pottery wheels and wood fired kilns. Their characteristic hazy matte-black hue is created by double firing the terracotta. In the second firing, the primitive fire kiln is covered with sand, causing smoke to transform classic orange terracotta to coveted moody black. Style its dramatic silhouette on side consoles or amongst favourite decor pieces and books on curated shelving. Unglazed terracotta is porous and should not be used to hold water.

Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order for a refund or replacement if available. We may require photos of the item and packaging to process your request.
Returns for Other Reasons If you wish to return an item for any other reason, the following conditions apply:
- The item must be properly re-packaged to prevent damage during return shipping.
- You will be responsible for the return shipping cost. We will inform you of the return shipping fee before proceeding.
- The return package must be shipped within 14 days of your original delivery date.
